| Lawyers will join FUTA march in expression of their solidarity for the cause!!! |

(Lanka-e-News -27.Sep.2012, 4.00PM) Learned friend / legal apprentice / law student & other aspirant of the RULE of LAW;
As you're already aware, the FUTA is at present engaged in a public procession, gathering momentum & crowds on their march towards Colombo, in an attempt to protect, preserve & enhance the RIGHT TO EDUCATION of our future generations.
The FUTURE OF LEGAL EDUCATION also being included in this struggle, fellow Attorneys of similar vision have proposed to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with the FUTA & the several other groups that have already joined this apolotical movement; as a mark of OUR SOLIDARITY towards this NATIONAL CAUSE, bearing in mind that it is ONLY THROUGH EDUCATION that we change the mindset of the masses, to secure a better future in Sri Lanka FOR OUR CHILDREN, governed according to the Rule of Law & Principles of Democracy.
All similarly inclined members of the profession are requested to gather at their PLACE OF REGULAR PRACTICE and join in their groups, when the FUTA march will break for lunch at COORAY PARK, WELLAWATTE between 12.30 - 1.30pm on FRIDAY 28th Sep'12, preferably attired as usual, black trouser, white shirt or saree.

We will then GATHER all our groups TOGETHER there and march with FUTA on their final leg, as they leave Cooray Park at 2pm for the public rally at Hyde Park.
THOSE IN HULFTSDORP will gather near the exit gate of the Supreme Court complex around 12 noon.
TOGETHER let us join to protect the FUTURE RIGHTS OF EDUCATION of our children!!! |
