| What happens to the seriously injured soldiers, asks Vikramabahu |

(Lanka-e-News, 2008 Feb 29, 8.00AM PM) Left Fron leader Dr. Vikramabahu Karunarathna states that the JVP that attacks the UN branding it as pro-LTTE, bends before UN official Angela Kane seeking support to eliminate Tigers showing their duplicity and the political bankruptcy.
Addresssing a press conference held in party headquarters this morning (28), Dr. Karunarathna said that UN was assisting President Mahinda Rajapakse with or without JVP's pleas and said that the same Angela Kane would come to chain the JVP too.
"Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Sing is a leader of global capitalism and not one with his own agenda as the JVP perceives. When the LTTE requests to recognize their separate state, the global capitalism unifies Ranil and Mahinda instead," said Dr. Karunarathna.
"The JVP identifies this unison as Indian expansionism and attempts to mobilize people militarily against it. They mislead youth, starting from universities, by bringing in Indian expansionism and Provincial Council antagonism without revealing the policies of global capitalism," he said.
Dr. Karunarathna further says that the war is tense and both sides are killing each other in great numbers. "The Government says that the Kilinochchi hospital is filled with injured. But we see that the hospitals here are also full with war casualties. We have a question over the fate of the seriously injured soldiers?" he enquired. |
