| Army captures LTTE’s second runner way at Mankulam |

(Lanka-e-News,30-Sep-2008, 11.00PM) Army Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara says that the Army 57 Brigade that is in operations in Vanni captured another runway maintained by LTTE in Panikkamkulam in Mankulam today (30).
According to Army Spokesman, the runner way is 500 meters long. It is located in Panikkamkulam seven kilometers to the northwest of Mankulam town. It is stretched towards northwest from southeast direction, MCNS said. This is believed the second runway maintained by the LTTE. Defense Intelligence has reported that here is another runway inside the Mullaithivu jungles. |
