| Personal documents including Prabakaran's birth certificate recovered |

(Lanka-e-News, April 05, 2009, 4.45 PM) State media says that Army recovered in a search operation this afternoon some very important documents of the LTTE leader and his family from a place where Prabakaran was hiding till the last moment.
The personal belongings of the Tiger leader included Prabakaran's and his son Charles Anthony's birth certificates, the G.C.E. ordinary Level and Advanced level result sheets of Charles Anthony and Prabakan’s daughter Dwarka. Documents related to the university where Dwarka is studying now have also been recovered.

Following the defeat at Puthukudirippu, LTTE leaders have fled to the no-fire zone. They have taken a large cache of explosives to the no-fire zone causing chaos among civilians there. State media says that the Army is observing the situation there.
Army further says that the LTTE has positioned three artillery guns in the no-fire zone. |
