The most important factor in a guerilla war is eliminating the top leadership -Anura Disanayaka
(Lanka-e-News, April 30, 2009, 7.25pm) The leader of the parliamentary group of the JVP Anura Kumara Disanayaka says that there is a contradiction between the Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse's initial statement that the LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran will be pursued and the present government statement that the battle is over.

Disanayaka made these observations addressing a press conference held in the National Library and Documentation Board Center today (30) to make aware the media about the JVP's programme to provide relief to the displaced people of north.
Anura Disanayaka said that the most important factors in guerilla warfare is eliminating the top leadership and the cadres, but not capturing the land. A guerilla movement depends on the charisma of the leadership and not on the civil law, he said.

In warfare, the weapons used and not used against the enemy are not declared and it is against the science of war, said Anura Kumara Disanayaka. The government knelt before the international forces and stated that the use of heavy weapons and aerial attacks were stopped.
When a journalist enquired about the statement of Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva who said that the 70% voted to the ruling party are people who eat rice while the 30% rest are people that eat grass, Disanayaka laughed saying that Minister Siripala is suffering from dictator mania.

MP Disanayaka said that the politicians should respect the diverse ideas of the people and the kinds of Nimal Siripala de Silva are trying to spread the dictatorship of single party.

What sort of statements one can expect someone like Siripala de Silva. He is a national joke.

Siripala the great first bathed cement in 19ninties,caught and sacked from eating cement. Now he is bathing with saline and blood. Mother Lanka is so unfortunate to loose a heroic son like Brig: Hamangoda and save a fat ass like Sira.

How do you think Nimal got such a big stomach. He had been eating all the muck served by his leaders so that he can enjoy the perks like a bull eating grass. Ranil should take an examplwe from Nimal and eat grass so that he can also be bullish/.

I regret voting for Nimal Siripala de Silva. He deserves to be deplored. His statement articulates his intellectual bankruptcy. I call upon all wise men to evaluate him by his word.

He is absolutely right as the previous government did for his party leaders...I think Gota has to get some advises from this people...because they shows that they knew everything...their theory is the right theory which are being rejected by the mass day by day..
