Disanayaka made these observations addressing a press conference held in the National Library and Documentation Board Center today (30) to make aware the media about the JVP's programme to provide relief to the displaced people of north. |

Anura Disanayaka said that the most important factors in guerilla warfare is eliminating the top leadership and the cadres, but not capturing the land. A guerilla movement depends on the charisma of the leadership and not on the civil law, he said.
In warfare, the weapons used and not used against the enemy are not declared and it is against the science of war, said Anura Kumara Disanayaka. The government knelt before the international forces and stated that the use of heavy weapons and aerial attacks were stopped. |

When a journalist enquired about the statement of Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva who said that the 70% voted to the ruling party are people who eat rice while the 30% rest are people that eat grass, Disanayaka laughed saying that Minister Siripala is suffering from dictator mania.
MP Disanayaka said that the politicians should respect the diverse ideas of the people and the kinds of Nimal Siripala de Silva are trying to spread the dictatorship of single party. |
