| First group resettled in north sent to Mannar today |

(Lanka-e-News, April 30, 2009, 7.25pm) The government says that the first group to be resettled in north after the fourth Ealam war will be resettled in their own villages in Mannar.
Accordingly, 122 families of Mannar will be resettled today. The government said in a statement that six of the 15 divisional secretary areas in Mannar district have now been cleared of landmines and booby traps so as the civilians can be resettled there. |
