| Six suicide attacks yesterday |

(Lanka-e-News, April 30, 2009, 7.25pm) The Defense Ministry says that 15 LTTE cadres were killed and 20 were injured in fighting between the LTTE and the security forces at Vellamullivaikkal where LTTE is trapped in a small strip of land.
Army is advancing in this area where landmines and booby traps are laid. Army snipers targeted 14 LTTE cadres, said the Defense Ministry.
