Huge explosions and fire in LTTE area at the last leg of the war
Three suicide cadres surrender
(Lanka-e-News, May 15, 2009, 4.30 PM) Since last evening up to now huge explosions are heard and jet black smoke clouds are seen in the sky of the 1.2 kilometer area remained under LTTE. Army in the front lines doubts either LTTE is destroying their last assets or the last leaders are committing suicide.

Defense Ministry says that the LTTE is trying to commit a last minute massacre and put the blame on the Army.

State media say that three female suicide cadres that were deployed to protect the LTTE leaders have surrendered to Army after giving up their missions. The surrendered cadres have told that they were starving for three days and around 150 200 people were in the group.

Meanwhile, the escaped civilians have exposed that LTTE has set up highly inflammable white phosphorous laden bombs around an area a group of civilians are residing. However, Prabakaran, Pottu Amman and Susai are still believed to be trapped in this small sliver of land and their destiny is to seal within the next few hours.

Meanwhile, the President Mahinda Rajapakse announced while in an official tour in Jordan that the terrorism of Sri Lanka would be wiped out within the next 48 hours.
