| Minister Amarasiri Dodangoda no more |

 (Lanka-e-News 31.May.2009 12.45PM) Minister of Justice and a stalwart of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Amarasiri Dodangoda, passed away on yesterday(30) at the Colombo Government Hospital.
Since 23 November 2005, under the Government of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, he was the Cabinet Minister of Justice until the time of his demise.
Born on the 18th October 1942, Mr. Dodangoda served as the Cabinet Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs since 2004.
He earlier was the Chief Minister of the Southern Province for one term from 1993 to 1994 and another term in 1994. He represented Galle district in parliament. He is a senior SLFPer who held many responsible positions in the party
The remains of late Justice Minister, Amarasiri Dodangoda will be brought to Parliament tomorrow(1) for fellow Parliamentarians to pay their respects from 10 am to 11.30 am. Today it will be at Jayarathna florist in Colombo from 3.00PM to 11.00PM. |
