| Yemeni airbus crashes into Indian Ocean |

(Lanka-e-News 30.June.2009 1.00PM) A Yemeni A310 airbus with about 150 people on board has crashed into the Indian Ocean near the Comoros archipelago, foreign media reported today quoting Yemen airport officials.
The aircraft had departed from the Arabian Peninsula country of Yemen en route to the island nation of Comoros, sources said.
The exact location of the crash is not known yet and neither are there details of possible survivors.

On June 1, an Air France Airbus 330 travelling from Rio de Janeiro to Paris plunged into the Atlantic, killing all 228 people on board.
The cause of that crash has not been identified either. |
