Galle Muthuhettigama in another crime episode :visits Assist. Elect. Commissioner’s office and threatens

When the Assist. Elections Commissioner was engaged in a confidential polling card task, Muthuhettigama had asked the Office Assistant to fetch the Assist. Commissioner. As the Office assist did not heed his request, Muthuhettigama has abused and threatened him before leaving.
The Assist. Commissioner Bimal Silva had asked for advice from the Colombo office in regard to this episode, but until midnight yesterday, he had not been responded. Owing to this delay, till 9.00 p.m. yesterday no complaint has been lodged with the Police.

How do fellows like Muthuhettigama and Mervyn Silva ever get nominated. Is 'nt it the utter contempt certain political parties and their leaders have for the people of this country.

We read about the learned magistrate's order to get his head examined! We wonder whether this was done as per court order? Muthuhettigama is absolutely abnormal and extremely dangerous and can cause havoc. In the first place how can a lunatic be a candidate for PC? I don't think there is any difficulty in bundling him up and transporting him to Angoda. They should do something with him before the election day. He can turn out to be a monster during the elections and worse when the results are announced. We appeal to all concerned to take precautionary action right now, knowing the history of the person. Please take this advice seriously and we warn you not to play with fire!

Muthuhettigama must be suffering from some kind of mania or phobia. His behavior reflects his mind set. This man could be more formidable element to the society if elected for Galle District. Why can't the minister or any responsible authority disqualify his candidacy and let him get some psychiatric treatment. There should be some limit to thuggery and somebody has to draw a line somewhere.
