| White Van horror visits Journalist Dilisha’s house at midnight |

(Lanka-e-News 30.Sep.2009 12.30PM) A group of unidentified persons have arrived at the residence of National mass media Secretary and ‘Irudina’ Journalist Dilisha Abeysundara ,and tried to forcibly break open the gate of her house situated at serpentine Road ,Borella at about 11.30 p.m. on the 28th of Sept.
Dilisha who opened the door of her house responding to their shouts calling her by the name , having noticed one of them was trying to break the gate , has quickly said , Dilisha was not at home and closed her house door.
A massive meeting was convened yesterday (29) by Journalists’ Associations against the continued media harassments and attacks . It was regretted that at a time when the President has sent letters to the media Organizations for a discussion regarding these raging attacks directed against media, the unrelenting continuance of media intimidation is a matter of deep concern and warranting immediate solution. The appearance of individuals in the white van at the residence of Dilisha was another attempt at either abduction, assault or murder , it was pointed out.

Poddala Jayantha was also abducted when the media Organizations were involved in discussions with the President . Hence, these individuals visiting the house of Dilisha in the night does not augur well . This is another calculated and premeditated plan to commit a criminal offence against her, they stated with deep concern |
