| President lays foundation stone for second Int. Airport |

(Lanka-e-News, Nov.29, 2009, 6.00PM) The foundation stone for the second International airport was laid by the President Rajapakse on 27th.
The first phase of this Airport to be built at a cost of Rs. 200 million dollars is expected to be completed by 2011.This Airport is situated in an area covering hectares 2000 and is constructed under the People’ republic of China project. 800 Hectares will be used for the first phase. |
