| Will Anoma resign and Daya replace her ? |

(Lanka-e-News 29.April.2010 5.00AM) It is reported that Anoma Gamage is prepared to resign her MP post from the UNP National list.
It is learnt that she is getting ready to send a letter to this effect to the Elections Commissioner . . However , when Lanka e news inquired form her about this , she replied it is a falsehood.
Anoma Gamage is the wife of Daya Gamage who lost at the elections contesting the Digamadulla District under the UNP ticket. It is rumored that if she resigns , Daya Gamage is to be appointed in her place. But , the UNP leader had declared that no candidate who has lost at the elections shall be appointed via the National list. The attempts to appoint Daya Gamage has sparked a storm of controversy within the party . |

Defeated candidates, Vajira Abeywradena, Sagala Ratnayake and Sarathchandra Rajakaruna are also seeking to get appointments through the National list Meanwhile , Ranil Wickremesinghe addressing the Party central Committee meeting yesterday ,said the SLFP (M) is considering providing the slot to help filling the UNP National list deficiency. |
