| Don’t make 'selections', hold 'elections' –Sajith says to Ranil |

(Lanka-e-News 30.April.2010 4.35AM) UNP Deputy Secretary and UNP Hambantota M P Sajith Premadasa suggested to UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe that appointments to all official posts in the party shall be by votes democratically.
He made this proposal when he had discussions with Mr. Wickremesinghe today (29), in regard to the future changes in the party . Sajith Premadasa met Mr. Wickremesinghe on an invitation extended by the latter to him.
Premadasa made it abundantly clear to UNP leader that appointment of individuals for official posts in the party shall be by election and not by selection. |

All political affairs of the party should be carried out with transparency , and appointments must be made on the basis of ability and competence . Party’s policies and projection must be built by sniffing the fragrance of the sweat of the poor man and identifying them , Sajith has suggested to the UNP leader. |
