| Warrant issued by Court on accused Former Higher education Minister |

(Lanka-e-News 03.July.2010 11.45PM) Mount Lavinia Court additional Magistrate Ruchira Welivita made an order to issue a warrant on the suspect Former Higher education Minister ‘Myown’ Mustafa Mohomed in the case where he is accused of offering a bribe of Rs. 43 lakhs to NFF M P Mohomed Muzzamil.
The report forwarded to the Court by the CID stated that this bribe was allegedly offered by Mustafa to induce Mohomed Muzammil to make an announcement against NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa

When this case was taken for hearing on the 2nd , as the accused Mustafa did not appear in Court , the warrant was issued.
The case is to be taken up for trial again on the 25th of August. |
