Single vote and Sinhalese in India will not be allowed to stay in Tamil nadu if Indian fishermen are harassed -demonstrations in Chennai
(Lanka-e-News, July 13, 2010, 2.00PM) T M P K party leader Vijaya Baan charged that the Central Govt. of India is soft pedaling the issue of the SL Navy allegedly harassing groups of the Indian fishermen. Irrespective of the attitude of the Indian Govt. the actions of the SL Navy is deserving of condemnation, he added. In protest against this they are to stage demonstrations on the 13th in front of the SL Diplomatic mission in Chennai.

A leader of the party, Sriman announced that if steps are not taken to stop this continued harassment of the Indian fishermen in the territorial waters of SL, not a single SL Sinhalese will be allowed to stay in Tamil nadu.
The protest demonstrations are to be staged on the 13th morning (today) in front of the SL Diplomatic mission in Chennai.
