When Jayawickrema Perera asked from the President whether he is truly honest about the abolition of the Executive Presidency, the President has replied, not to entertain any doubts whatsoever about it.
Even earlier we discussed with you and signed an agreement. But, finally you took away 17 of our MPs to the Govt. We are prepared to have discussions on matters which are for the benefit of the country, and we will support decisions of the Govt. which are aimed at such goals. But, on this occasion, you must not take any more of our party members, Jayawickrema Perera had insisted. |
