Though Gotabaya gave crude orders to junior officers the army obeyed my instructions :They committed no war crimes therefore –Fonseka
(Lanka-e-News 17.July.2010 11.55PM) Today , Ministers are functioning in fear. If a secret voting is conducted, all the Ministers will be unanimous in their decision to send the President home.

The DNF leader and Colombo District M P who made this announcement , insisted that the Executive Presidency shall be abolished, adding that the first and foremost requirement is to stamp out this Executive Presidency which is promoting dictatorship . In my view , more than the fault in the system , it is the fault in the individual who comes to that position which is most detrimental and devastating to all. Because we cannot change the individual who occupies this position , the system has to be compulsorily changed. The ability a President acquires to be a dictator using these powers should be eradicated. Though a President may exist , the Executive Presidency must be changed so that the Parliament will have supremacy and the powers . In that event , the President will be denied the control of the country’s fiscal management , otherwise pilferage of the public funds without control by those managing it cannot be averted.
The General had the following averments to make in regard to the war and the white flag story :

The Army did not commit any wrongs though Gotabaya was giving orders. Irrespective of whatever orders he gave , the Army obeyed my instructions . Gotabaya gave orders based on his crudeness, lack of discipline and impetuousness to junior officers . But because I was having those groups well under my control , they did not exceed my instructions and Gotabaya’s crude directives were not carried out. Now, of course , he is engaging in all kinds of actions. The Army Commander has no administrative control. I have talked about this white flag story earlier too. Nothing like that happened.

UN need to call only two people to investigate this Drama, SF & GR both will clear this matter with in few hours.... Wimal does not have to starve to death where he can have a good meal in Diyawanna.

Nana, Are you gone nuts? In Sri Lanka people will stand up for anything against this government? They know it is committing suicide, they are grieving silently. The Rajapaksa's know that that is why they have not stopped harrasing General.They are scared of him, when they got to bed they be having nightmares regarding General and feeling guilty about what they have been doing. if you need freedom, dont stoop down so low to clear the name of the rulers, by saying that no white flag was shown as surrender. Stand by what you have said, that is good for a GOOD GENERAL> No tongue twisters please.

bana talking, after the election you said MR MR was won by mal practices, it gave a definition call Gillmart by your cabba henchman. In Iran millions of people came to the street when Ahmedinejad did the same. even though Iran is the worst human right violator, General public stood up against its dictator ship, true for any where in the world. But, why nothing has happening in Sri Lanka? Why no one bother to listen to you? Why mass not coming to the street against the government put you in prison? Why no one take you seriously or no one trust you? if Sri Lankan general public taken you seriously by now Colombo streets are full of riots with support to your cause growing every day. Why JVP unable bring Colombo stand still like they did in the past. You can’t call it gillmart, can you? It is very simple as you said if you are the true winner of last presidential election, where is the people who voted for you? Why they gone silent? You should answer these questions if you say truth nothing but truth. on by frought

Lanka e news first of all I must say that you should not give any priority for incidents of doings which the General Fonseka admits,the same General once quoted good about Mr Gotabaya as well as the President once, it's all in the history and records which could not be erased.I can remember a mews paper journalist once questioned him about what action he is going to do after the war, what the General said in his own words, Mama Piliyandara gedera makunudel kadala e gadara innawa. Now what he is saying is total different.As citizens of Sri Lanka who looks after all the affairs has the right to say and write, whether you puplish or not I must say frankly this General has two tounges,that could be revoled into any direction,The war was not done only by a single man,in the Army,there were three forces behind this, he is not the only person to carry out operations,he only insists that he is the man behind the victory.If it is so,and yet others think what did the Navy and Air Force did? At last what he can say about his mother in laws money that was in a vault of a bank, althogh he proclamed his wealth to the public when he contested to the Presidency.This Gennerl got all these chances because of Gotabaya and now he treats him this way, what almost all the people who knows the background and the past history of war and appointment made by the President knows who Mr. Fonseka was and what misdeeds he did while in the army including a rape.I don't mind telling the fact, this is in the history.If not he can challenge and get compensation for abusing his charactor.If a person even can tell in publicly that he is prepared to get offers even from Prabkaran's father to defeat Mahinda.What else can you expect from the General Fonseka? I request you to puplish this as it is an equal opportunity express views that should be known by others,where as you giving publisity for General's comments.
