Courts unable to give independent judgments today: we must all unite in our campaign -Anoma Fonseka
-we will send Rajapakse home by protesting from the place where he began to be crowned -Anura
(Lanka-e-News 22.July.2010 10.20PM) DNF Parliamentary member Anura Kumara Dissanayake said, every time national issues cropped up , the people always congregated at the Lipton Circus and stage d their protests successfully. In the same way , the protests and agitations for the release of Gen. Fonseka shall be commenced at the Lipton circus and we shall emerge victorious .

Dissanayake stated his when he addressed a massive gathering yesterday (21) at the Lipton circus where the protest rally was held after marching from Campbell park ,the venue from where the procession began. It is well to recall that this is the place Mahinda Rajapakse began his campaign to wear the crown later.

Because of the political pressures brought to bear on the Judiciary , even the faith in the judiciary is being eroded. The Govt. is in the process of ‘killing’ the media which exposes the truth and opposes the Govt . It is the duty of the Govt. to restore the media rights and freedom to enable the people to learn of the truth and receive factual information.

Every leader of this country who came to power gave orders in regard to the war , but it was only Gen. Fonseka who was the Army Commander who won the war and who could meet the challenges and threats of Prabhakaran to defeat him ultimately. To this great Hero who ushered in peace for the country after winning a war which raged for 30 long years , the Govt. is framing charges and filing legal actions illegally and keeping him in custody. I am fully confident that the people of this country will take the necessary measures to pack the Rajapakse Govt. home lock ,stock and barrel, Dissanayake noted.

Anoma Fonseka also speaking on the occasion said, I am indeed delighted that I am associated with a campaign like this. The massive crowds are an inspiration to us . They give us the necessary strength . I tell all those who are seeking to weaken us that none of their efforts will avail .They can never stop us in our victorious march to our goal. Everyone is aware that the Courts are unable to take independent decisions . The Govt. is using its power to taint the judiciary too. I urge everyone of you to stand united to carry forward our struggle .

Why Sri Lanka became Independent from British ohhhhhh noo. Please take us back again as a colony of UK. We are killing our own people and spoiling the whole country. This the best time for self destruction of once great Sri Lanka.

Look at what is happening to the cases filed by SF: Either * They get heard after very lengthy postponements. * When they are taken up, judges leave the panel for 'personal reasons'. * They are dismissed in toto because you cannot have a case against the Executive. By the look of things these judges want to save their skin. MR and GR also influence these judges with perks and other things. So, good luck to them who are still beleiving in this judicial system.

Srilanka is full of donkeys. They sniff the rear end of corrupted King, like the donkeys who comment here.

Madam, You can't walk on both sides of the road at the same time. You all accuse the Govt of not listening to the Judiciary, and now you are saying the judciary is politicised. You can't fool all the people all the time.

What do you idiots who commented in this expect Mrs Fonseka to do , go and worship MR'S foot for the crimes that SF had never done or ask help from Ranil who betrayed SF on presidential election. what all of you want to her to stay home and expect the local judiciary system to be fare and free SF when GR and MR had all there influence on judges . i think she is doing her best as a wife should do and fight for her husband with the people who was with him from the start to this day , if any one had a better idea pleas like to know.

Anoma is tredding the same wrong line SF tred! JVP has abysimal power and is a rejected party. UNP is not there to help SF anymore and she is clinging to the only party that is (mis)guiding her and SF. Arjun is lost in the politics along with Mangala who is casually testing the waters of a return to MR.

For a judgment to be independent and fair; do you beleive that the courts should give a judgment that you want it to be?
