Yesterday (26), a group of CID officers have gone to the house of the victim at Shanthipura, Nuwara Eliya and recorded a statement from the victim in this connection.
On the day the young girl bolted from the home of the judge, the judge has assaulted the two police sentries at his residence alleging that they had helped the victim to escape, and then summoned a high ranking Police officer of the Galkissa Police to his residence in the middle of the night to record a statement against the two police officers. When this officer arrived at the Judge’s residence, the latter has asked him ‘where is your uniform’? and assaulted him too with a book, and chased him out, it is reported. |
