| Trying to make the Courts Gen. Fonseka’s residence: four cases in one day! |

(Lanka-e-News, July 27, 2010, 10.50PM) The Magistrate of Colombo Rashmi Singapulli ordered the CID yesterday (26) to inform Courts on the 2nd August of the progress made in regard to the case filed by the Attorney General against Gen. Fonseka allegedly for keeping in his custody 10 Army deserters and plotting to overthrow the Govt.
After Gen. Fonseka and his Secretary Senaka Silva were produced before the Courts yesterday, this order to the CID was issued by the Magistrate.
When the HiCORP deal case was taken up yesterday at the Colombo Fort Magistrate Courts, the Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne instructed that the suspects in the case, Gen. Fonseka, Tradent Wellington De Hoedt and Dhanuna Thilakaratne shall be produced in Court on 05th August. |

In connection with the ‘white flag story’ case filed against Gen. Fonseka by the Attorney general, the Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singapulli ordered that Gen. Fonseka be produced before the Three judge panel of the High Court on the 29th when the case is to be heard by that Court.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court decided yesterday to take up hearing on the 13th of September of the writ application filed by Gen. Fonseka to preclude the first military Court from conducting proceedings against him. |
