(Lanka-e-News -02.March.2016, 11.30PM) Basil Rajapakse who is making loud and proud announcements that a party is going to be formed under the leadership of the Rajapakses is one who was starving , and abandoned the party . Besides, it is he who gobbled up 70 % of the national revenue , said , minister Vijitha Vijayamuni when addressing a UPFA press briefing yesterday(01).
Is Basil trying to re build a family rule which was thrown out lock ,stock and barrel on 8 th January by the people of the country? asked Vjayamuni De Soysa who went on to expose that Basil betrayed the SLFP at that time by associating it with a naxalite conspiracy . Basil was not one who built the party , rather dismantled and destroyed it , the minister bemoaned.
During the Rajapakse era , when Mahindananda Aluthgamage was the minister of sports , that ministry was controlled by Namal Rajapakse . Though the wild life ministry was under him ( Vijayamuni De Soysa) , and the world bank passed monies to put up elephant fences , all those monies were siphoned off into Basil’s ministry , the minister revealed.
