(Lanka-e-News- 11.Nov.2014, 11.00PM) The supreme court (SC) gave a unanimous verdict that the incumbent President Mahinda Rajapakse can contest the Presidential elections for a third term in response to the application made by the President . This was conveyed yesterday evening , which was officially made known by Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva the leader of the house , to Parliament just a while ago.
In accordance with this judgment which allows Mahinda Rajapkse to seek a third term as President , there is nothing to impede former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge too to contest the Presidential election a third time. Incidentally , unofficial sources say the common opposition Presidential candidate is either Karu Jayasuriya or Chandrika .
A panel of ten SC judges including chief justice (CJ) Mohan Peiris , K. SriPavan ,Chandra Ekanayake , Priyasad Dep, Eva Wanasundara , Rohini Marasinghe , Buvaneka Aluvihara ,Sisira De Abrew , Sarath De Abrew and Priyantha Jayawardena examined the inquiry made by the President . The only judge who could not be on the panel was Saleem Marsoof who is presently abroad.
It is worthy of note that a majority of these judges were appointed by the President himself and cronies of his .

"Nobody bites the hand it feeds".
All those Supreme Court Judges have proved this theory in deciding that MARA could be the "President for life" in this country.
May be all these SCJs have obtained their posts with a simple stroke of the pen of MARA.
And they, in turn, have shown their gratitude......

Dear Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranayake, We definitely need you as the common opposition candidate for the upcoming presidential election. I had a great hope when Mahinda defeated LTTE terrorist. However, afterward he ruined his all good reputation and the country with his brothers and some of greedy self-fish government servants. Sri Lanka's ordinary civilians are completely mislead by Mahinda's group. In sinhalese, we can use the word "Minisunnwa Gonata Andala taman ge weda tike karagannawa". Every where in the world, we can see development. One of my Chinese friend told me that once he goes to his hometown in China, every year he can see a big change and development. Our ordinary people say Sri Lanka is like a heaven now, because of roads, buildings, etc.....,, but this not only in Sri Lanka, every where in the world. MR and his associates come to USA for medical treatment, but in Sri Lanka, he badly condemn USA and western countries. What is the meaning of this policies? (Debidi piliwatha) So Chandrika, we need you now. Keep in mind Ranil is not a proper competitor for Mahinda, because he failed many times. Sri Lanka definitely need a appropriate and intelligent action now, Do not delay.

Thank you, Chandrika to come to active politics to save the country from MR and his corrupted associates. I have a assurance that Matri is great gentleman and a corruption free politicians to save our country with the association of great other counterparts. (UNP, JVP, Hela Urumaya, etc...) Leaving Tissa is a tremendous benefit since he can not make any significant contribution to a victory. If Chandrani needs to go with Tissa, not to worry about her, allow to go. At this stage, we need a pure spirits rather than pile of garbage.
