(Lanka-e-News- 28.March.2016, 10.45PM) The virus that is afflicting the SLFP has infected the UNP too , based on reports reaching Lanka e news. This virus is none other than factional virus .
Already within the SLFP there are two factions , they are ‘Maithri faction’ and ‘Mahinda faction’ – that is ‘good governance faction ‘ and ‘rogues’ faction’ respectively. A group that is trying to show they are closest to the prime minister is acting as the vector seeking to spread this virus infection within the UNP to achieve their selfish objectives.
It is well to recall at this juncture the UNP was on the losing streak earlier on because of this factional virus . It was however possible to barely cure this infection earlier after administering the drug- ‘leadership board.’
During the period before the presidential election , when a secretary of the rival party was being groomed as the common candidate instead of a candidate from the UNP, there was a possiblilty for the UNP’s factional opposition to rise against it , however ‘ leadership board’ drug efficaciously managed to cure it , though the leadership board drug did not cure Tissa Attanayake’s malady.
This so called faction which is making a display it is closest to UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is spreading the virus which is alienating the leaders who truly protected and genuinely stood by Ranil Wickremesinghe during that crucial time in his trials and triumphs. The dastardly aim of this faction which is spreading this contagion is to create a hypocritical scenario that they are most close to the P.M.
Through this conspiracy , this faction is blowing out of proportion minor issues in the ministries belonging to the UNP leaders which were most effciently run in the past , and via the media make a big din about it , while on the other hand also publicise these are being highlighted on P.M.’s coaching. Another conspiracy was to transfer some of the functions of ministries of some ministers to others on the basis they are incapable of discharging their ministerial duties .
These conspiratorial moves were for some time under the watchful eyes of Lanka e news inside information division. Yet no publicity was given on the belief that these virus vectors would become weak .But now it has become clear with the leadership board in a state of dormancy , these virus vectors are taking the upper hand and growing .
While hoping that the force to counter this virus contagion will be able to combat this evil which is spreading among the UNP leaders and the P.M., might we inform the people that the monitoring and surveillance operations of Lanka e news inside information division too have been intensified. This is because if this factional virus that has by now brought the SLFP to its knees , also plunges the UNP into the same plight , it is the country that will have to suffer .
