(Lanka-e-News-28.April.2016, 11.45PM) The Terrorism investigation unit that committed abductions without any records during the Rajapakse era , is now given receipt books under the government of good governance so that its officers can carry out its arrests legally after issuing a receipt when conducting investigations in furtherance of national security .This new method was duly followed when S. Sivakaran , the leader of youth association , Mannar was arrested.
Sivakaran was arrested on yesterday (27) by the Terrorism investigation unit officers while having the receipt in their hands . This receipt is issued when an individual is taken into custody under the emergency regulations of the Prevention of Terrorism Act . In the photograph is a receipt published by Lankadeepa.
Meanwhile , Lanka e news in another news report, revealed 11 former LTTE leaders have been arrested in connection with the Chavakachcheri incident.
Later report says Sivakaran has released today (28) after questioning
