Kosgama armory camp razed to the ground ! 300 houses fully destroyed and over 1000 others partly damaged ! (photos)

(Lanka-e-News -06.June.2016, 11.30PM)  Following the explosion of the army ‘s Kosgama central armory , over 1000 houses were partly damaged , while another nearly 300 houses and two factories were completely destroyed , according to Seethawaka district secretary M.M.S.K. Bandara Mapa.

10 grama seva divisions of Salawa, Kaluaggala, Suduwella, Mavilgama, Kadugoda  north, Akaravita, Bandigampola, Lower Kosgama west , north,  and Murugagama  have suffered heavy damage ; and   within a radius of 5  kilometers , a number of houses of  8 more grama divisions have also been damaged., the district  secretary revealed.

18628 persons have been displaced , and they have been sheltered in 11 camps including schools, temples and  private places , Bandara Mapa stated.

Akaravita Maha Vidyalaya, Salawa Madya Vidyalaya, Kaluaggala Sidhartha junior school , St. John Bosco maha Vidyalaya, Kosgama Sumedha Vidyalaya, Katugoda junior school and Kosgama maha Vidyalaya have also been damaged , and those schools are  closed until the 7 th for refurbishment .

Meanwhile what remains of the camp that was devastated by the explosion is only the water tank. The camp is razed to the ground and the entire area is like a ghost town  (Photographs herein).

Please refer to the news item which says that goverment is gearing up to purchase Arms and Ammunitions to the tune of billions during the peacetime when there was no war threats. I think this is a conspiracy connected to that news item. Now the government can go ahead and purchase all the destroyed arms and ammunitions. BY THE WAY WHY DO WE NEED THESE WEAPONS. TO KILL OUR OWN PEOPLE.............pLEASE CHECK ON THIS.
