(Lanka-e-News -10.June.2016, 11.30PM) An attempt to expunge all the computer data pertaining to the debatable second issue of Treasury bonds of the Central bank is under way ,the Anti Corruption Front alleges in a communiqué issued by it.. A high rung officer of the Central bank has given instructions to this effect to two employees , but fortunately they have rejected the proposal.
The computer division was kept under lock and key so that details regarding the debatable second issue of the bond will not be known until 36 days have elapsed. In any case by now much of these details have reached the hands of civil society activists.
One such important piece of information is : a few minutes before the closure of bids (10.50 a.m.), a primary representative Institution submitting a bid that was detrimental to the aspirations of the nation
This bid had been made through a State bank. This could be an attempt to conceal relevant information pertaining to any investigation instituted against Arjuna Mahendran in the future in the midst of the situation in which Arjuna Mahendran the governor of Central Bank is likely to lose the opportunity to serve another term as the Treasury governor.
The Anti Corruption Front releasing the communiqué has warned sternly , it will not hesitate one bit to haul up all those in court who are involved in these efforts to destroy the data , and to take every measure to bring these culprits before the law.
