(Lanka-e-News - 26.dec.2017, 9.35PM) The ban imposed on Sri Lankan tea by Russia has been lifted with effect from December 30 th.
This is a sequel to the discussions held between the special technological committee comprising 9 members that left for Russia and the Russian officials .
Accordingly , 30 container load of tea leaves that were ready for shipment will be exported to Russia after 30 th December as usual.
This news released on Christmas day is indeed a matter for delight to SL.
