Corrosive Peiris out but two more corroded screws still remain – couple that admitted students to University on Namal ‘s letters

(Lanka-e-News -02.Feb.2015, 11.55PM) The government for good governance which succeeded at last in ridding itself of a lethal nail in its flesh has still two more rusty nails spreading tetanus infection ,to be discarded which are militating against good governance..

The nail that was got rid of was Mohan Peiris , the former CJ who while in office metamorphosed into a monster destroying everything the sacrosanct judiciary stood for , in spite of the fact that he was a part of it ,and thereby became an unprecedented obstacle to the judicial processes and the judiciary as a whole.

The other two corroded ‘screw nails’ that are now remaining are : the chairperson of the University Grants Commission (UGC) , namely Ms. Kshanika Hirimburegama , and Colombo University Vice chancellor , who is her ‘hubby.’ Like Mohan Peiris who disgraced the judiciary and the legal fraternity to which he belonged , this UGC President along with her hubby colluded and contributed to plunge the University’s lofty traditions and policies into worst sordid levels never witnessed before in the history of Sri Lanka (SL) ,solely and wholly to bootlick and fawn on the Medamulana backwoods land crocodiles . This is a criminal couple who gave University degrees to please the Rajapakses by serving as their spittoons , in order to fill their own pot bellies.

The worst crime among the many committed by them are the admission of unqualified students to Universities on letters issued by synthetic lawyer Namal Rajapakse whose own legal qualification is still a hot controversial issue

The second crime of this duo is : A house and land located at Hewa Avenue valued at Rs. 240 million that was donated via a last will for a ladies hostel of University students by a most reputed philanthropist Dr. Siva Chinnethamby being plundered most nefariously and fraudulently . Until today this property had not been given over to be used as a hostel for the University students. Instead , this property has been leased out to Chinese nationals and a huge sum of money had been collected under the counter. ( we shall reveal details of this heinous crime in a subsequent report )

In these circumstances, under a government that is advocating good governance , such a stooge and fraud cannot and should not be permitted to continue even for a minute longer as the President of the UGC. She is an insult not only to the government and the University Grants Commission but even to the post she is holding.

Her hubby , Kumara Hirimburegama is no better. Some time ago when the Colombo University Vice chancellor vacancy was being filled , Professor Lakshman Dissanayake received 21 votes whereas Kshanika received only 8 votes . Yet Kshanika was appointed as Vice chancellor. During the second term , Professor Dissanayake received 15 votes whereas , Kshanika ‘s hubby Hirimburegama received only 13 votes. Truly , if Hirimburegama had an iota of shame , and if unadulterated human blood is coursing through his veins , he ought have not accepted the post. Sadly today , the situation is so obnoxiously ridiculous ,if there are any wrongs committed by Hirimburegama , the complaint has to be made to his wife , the President of the UGC.

When the Colombo University Senate met recently , about 200 of its members in one voice insisted that Kumara is got rid of and that he resigns , while it was pointed out that his doctorate is of no worth .

Based on information reaching Lanka e news inside information division , this duo at the moment are busy sniffing the nooks and corners of the residence of President Maithripala Sirisena , with the hope of safeguarding their posts. Unofficial sources reveal that Minister , Professor Rajeewa Wijesinghe is providing the necessary rope to bail them out.

No matter what, under the new government’s good governance , this duo can be given a few days more time to decide which of course they are entitled to : are they going to plunge themselves into the disgrace and ignominy which Mohan Peiris drove himself into , whereby he lost even that little reputation he was left with while making an exhibition to the whole world what a scoundrel he was ,(which stigmatic experience he could have averted had he honorably resigned) , or is this couple going to think wisely and act honorably at least at this belated stage , and tender their resignations with dignity if any, is still remaining in them .

Get rid of this shameless woman who betrayed Rajapaksha family after the election to get favors from the Minister and the Prime minister Or else same this will happen again at the general election. While the woman is secretly working for her masters to who she awarded PH.Ds she wants to manipulate Rajiva and Ranil to stay in power to destroy the university system. Get rid of this shameless woman

Is this good governance ? of course minister thinks they were forced to do all these misdeeds.that is what the shameless woman had told the minister! Was she forced to manipulate the council of the university to nominate her unqualified hubby for the post of vice-Chancellor? I will be thrilled if a politician pressurize me to admit my daughter to the medical faculty! Resign soon before you two are dragged out!

I am surprised that nobody is interested in the higher education sector which has seen a dirty politicization during last 10 years. One person who ruined the higher education sector is still clinging into the chairman's post and the hubby is wrongly appointed as the VC in Colombo. You got rid of Mohan Pieris why not these two?
