Tissa who sold his soul for billions , betrayed opposition and prepared forged document remanded

(Lanka-e-News- 03.Feb.2015, 10.25PM) Retribution struck like lightning yesterday(02) on Tissa Attanayake who became minister of health under the former regime after betraying his party (UNP) he belonged to and the whole country during the run up to the last Presidential elections. He was yesterday arrested and remanded until the 11th after being produced in court. The charges against him are most grave : Tissa had forged the signatures of the incumbent President Maithripala Sirisena and the present Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in a document which he publicized among the people and the media just before the elections.

Tissa was taken into custody by the CID at his home at Baudhaloka mawatha and was produced before the additional magistrate Jayantha Dias Nanayakkara.

Based on the investigations , according to the CID , the document Tissa published publicly is a forged one , and if he is enlarged on bail , there is a likelihood of witnesses being subjected to intimidation . As a great many people are intently watching this crime closely ,if bail is granted , it could create public unrest and a riotous situation. Consequently, he was remanded until the 11 th, the CID pointed out.

Under the penal code, sections 452 and 453 , forging the signatures of the country’s President and the Prime minister intentionally , and preparing a forged document is a grave offence .President Maithripala Sirisena had filed a case therefore under these provisions claiming a sum of Rs. 2.5 billion as compensation.

It is significant to note ,Tissa not only betrayed the entire opposition and its supporters, but even sacrificed his soul at the altar of greed for portfolio and filthy lucre amounting to billions of rupees . Even after mudslinging most venomously at the opposition , and preparing a forged document to mislead the people during elections , this same Tissa was so brazen and shameless that when he was being handcuffed and taken to the prison , he raised his handcuffed hands (the photographs herein depict) and marched past the crowds pretending that he is a hero , while the onlookers were scorning and spurning him as not worth even a zero (naught in arithmetic.)
