(Lanka-e-News- 10.May.2015, 4.30PM) The Colombo chief magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya has ordered to forward an immediate report from the Colombo crime investigation division(CCD) after conducting a probe into an alleged ‘contempt of court’ in relation to a statement ‘take the court order and give back to that magistrate’ made by the foul mouthed harebrained media spokesman Mohomed Muzammil of the NFF, the leader of which party is Wimal Weerawansa .
When the court issued an injunction order prohibiting the staging of demonstrations on 23 rd April against the summoning of Gotabaya Rajapakse the ex defense secretary to the Bribery and corruption commission , harebrained Muzammil notorious for empty exhibitionism and talks like his grade 9 qualified leader had made this remark in a high and mighty voice when the court order was delivered .
The chief magistrate made this order after examining a report submitted to court by ASP W.M. Chandratileke of the CCD .
Chandratileke revealed to court in the report , following information gathered by the intelligence division that a protest campaign is being organized on April 23 rd against the summoning of Gotabaya the ex defense secretary to the Bribery and corruption commission , the Cinnamon gardens police obtained an injunction order from court to halt it , and when this court order was delivered by the police to Muzammil of the NFF party which is led by Weerawansa , he had acted in a manner that was tantamount to ‘ contempt of court’ by refusing to accept the court directive while disdainfully remarking ’ go and give that order back to the judge himself .’
In connection with this deplorable episode that constituted a disparagement of the courts ,the chief magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya ordered the CCD to forward him an immediate report on this incident after conducting an investigation into Muzammil’s conduct which is tantamount to a ‘contempt of court .’
It is worthy of note that Muzammil is the media spokesman of NFF party of ex minister of housing and engineering services Wimal Weerawansa (under the reign of ex president Mahinda Rajapkse ) the grade 9 qualified moron whose brags are as bogus as his loquacity is empty , and against whose wife and himself , a passport forgery case and other charges are pending .
Meanwhile the police have also unearthed information about a financial irregularity in a sum of many millions of rupees , and his involvement in a sexual abuse committed on a young girl when Muzammil was the working director of the ministry under Weerawansa .A separate police unit has initiated investigation pertaining to these charges against Muzammil , according to reports reaching Lanka e news inside information division
