The gazette notification has released now

Accordingly the people have been afforded the opportunity to elect a government based on their wishes in line with the mandate of the people on 8 th January 2015.  Gazette reported that the general election shall be held on August 17 this year while nominations will be accepted between July 6 and July 13.  New Parliament is to be convened on September1st.

Interestingly , Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne the cabinet spokesman who proudly and incessantly claims that he is the closest  bosom pal of the president ,at the media briefing yesterday to reveal  cabinet decisions said, the parliament will not be dissolved in a hurry without passing the 20 th amendment.

Incidentally, the dastardly attempt to hand over to speaker today the COPE supplementary report incorporating false charges against the prime minister went up in smoke

Finally self centered, incapable political refugees succeeded in having a path to parliment throwing money & vandalism. But the game is up & they have been cought in public forum. Correcting the system is more important than selecting candidatets. However We hope everybody put forward candidates who will usher democratic fundementals & oppose curruption & crime. Dear friends this is your time & vole for individuals than parties now as there is no difference as long as these parties have no vision and rallying around individuals. .
