GMOA progressive members triumph in their revolution: Padeniya who degraded GMOA flees and hides

(Lanka-e-News- 28.June.2015, 11.30PM)  It is  with delight  we report  the salutary news that  the dastardly and diabolic efforts made by  boorish Padeniya to obstruct the GMOA (Government medical officers association ) elections  through a court order obtained  on the 26 th  , thereby aiming  at  sabotaging   the annual general meeting fixed for 27 th (yesterday) , in order to retain the powers selfishly in his hands ,foundered on the rocks because of the honest commitment shown by the progressive doctors of the GMOA.

Though the elections  did not take place on the 27 th as scheduled ,  a group of the   majority of the GMOA members who attended in large numbers the annual general meeting of the GMOA  successfully transferred the powers of the GMOA to a sub committee . It is reported that neither Paddeniya nor his henchmen were present at the GMOA headquarters , having  fled the venue. In other words , the GMOA has from today been released from the dictatorial control of Padeniya and his henchmen.

The GMOA members are anticipating that in conformity with the court directives , as soon as possible , the sub committee will formulate an independent official scheme to strengthen the rights of the members.

It is the responsibility of the new administrative council to ensure that no room is created for a counter revolution , and the medical profession that was reduced to political prostitution by Padeniya  be once again elevated to its lofty professional standards and that its sublime  values are restored, so that the medical service can continue to serve with respect and dignity .
