Respect the people’s mandate ; don’t allow room for Rajapakses to wreak havoc again – ‘Swan’ balavegaya (force) to take to the streets on 3 rd

(Lanka-e-News -02.July.2015, 11.00PM) The people’s force that campaigned and steered the’ Swan ‘ to victory is to take to the streets on 3 rd July (Friday) to ensure that the promises made to the people in the manifesto  on 8 th January are honored to the letter.

It is an incontrovertible well and widely known  fact that Sri Lanka which was once recognized as the pearl of the orient was reduced to the lowliest of levels socially, internationally and economically  by the Medamulana family of scoundrels who for nine long years while keeping the oppressed people trampled under its despotic boots robbed state assets  , committed  murders on the innocent people, caused abductions followed by disappearances of citizens  via the white van and committed arson on media Institutions . The people’s force that brought about the welcome change on behalf of the people on the 8th of January  is now ready to resume its campaign on the 3 rd , to protest against nominations being given to the members of the Rajapakse family  which could mean courting disaster for the country again.

These organizations including civil citizen organization , professional organizations , artistes  organizations and people’s organizations jointly representing the force of the ‘Swan’ (Hansa Balavegaya) are to start a massive demonstration  on 3 rd July in front of the Fort railway station . Their protests are based on the slogans  ‘ respect the people’s mandate,’   and ‘ Don’t allow room for the Rajapakses’

The organizers invite all ‘Swan’ force sympathizers to join in the demonstration  .
No rights have been ever  won without waging a struggle .
