(Lanka-e-News- 06.July.2015, 11.00PM) Following the decision taken to grant nominations to the Blue brigade crooked chieftain Mahinda Rajapakse under the UPFA, the JHU a powerful constituent party of the UPFA has announced it shall be resigning from the Alliance .
Convening a media briefing the JHU national organizer Champika Ranawaka made this announcement. On 8 th January , people’s force did not understand the two main parties . Champika said, having understood a new front is necessary , forming a collective professional leadership with new ideals is his goal. He urged not to allow the corrupt rulers to rob for a further five years
The new front is ‘United national good governance Front’ and its symbol is diamond , he noted.
The decision of the JHU to leave the UPFA was influenced not by nominations being granted to Mahinda alone , but also by another reason , that is the decision to grant nominations to all members of the present parliament, which means all the heroin and ethanol dealers , those who robbed public funds in many millions and those facing murder charges will be granted nominations.
Political analysts are of the view that the JHU moves will have an impact on the decisions to be taken by the SLFP ( the UPFA ally) tomorrow. If the SLFP too similarly deserts the UPFA , what would remain for the UPFA will be two or three trishaw parties.
