(Lanka-e-News- 31.July.2015, 3.10PM) “After ruining the entire country, now he has come to Kurunegala to ruin what is left of that district too,” said Dayasiri Jayasekera ,Wayambe chief minister Kurunegala district UPFA candidate when making reference to Mahinda Rajapakse’s candidature for Kurunegala district at the up coming elections , it is reported.
Dayasiri made this comment before the Rupavahini production team when he visited the National Rupavahini recently for a television discussion . Dayasiri who was visibly thoroughly disillusioned and disconcerted had said “This bloke after devastating the whole country has come to Kurunegala to contest elections to finish off Kurunegala too. We are with him only until elections are over .What else to do?”
After the advent of Mahinda Rajapakse to Kurunegala like a stray parachutist the Kurunegala internal struggle has intensified . Simultaneously , with S.B.Nawinna the SLFP teasurer and stalwart crossing over to the UNP , the SLFP ers who are disappointed with the present SLFP have come forward to support Nawinna .According to analysts , Nawinna will poll much more votes than was expected .
Indeed , Nawinna is so confident that he recently remarked , last time Mahinda lost to the party secretary , this time he is going to lose to the party treasurer
