(Lanka-e-News- 08.Aug.2015, 10.00PM) By now the suspects who fled after making  an asassination bid on finance minister Ravi Karunanayake at Bloemendhal road in broad daylight  with a spray of bullets , has been identified.

The police had been able to discover the black hybrid car KX-3149 in which the criminals arrived . This vehicle kept hidden in the UPFA party office at Wellampitiya of  Susil Premajayantha and Dhanasiri Amaratunge was found by the police this noon . It is  Priyantha Karunaratne  a criminal lackey of Dhanasiri Amaratunge who had taken this vehicle on rent from a vehicle renting Co. Priyantha and three others have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.

The police based on the video recordings had detected that this hybrid vehicle on the day of the incident had been trailing from behind , and had waited for the opportune moment to attack. The  video tape shows the sighting of this vehicle on three occasions.

Even after 13 persons were injured and two innocent individuals including a woman were brutally killed , the Rajapakses were trying to camouflage these cold blooded murders in broad daylight by blaming the attack on the underworld gangs , while those of the Rajapakse regime including  Susil Premajayantha, Thilanga Sumathipala and  Gotabaya Rajapakse also  in order to distort the true  picture are making loud announcements that  the underworld criminals who were kept under control by them  are rearing their ugly heads again after the advent of the present government.
