(Lanka-e-News- 21.Aug.2015, 9.30AM) ‘From now on , if the decisions taken by the party are criticised in breach of party discipline , and untoward statements are issued to the media , stern action will be taken against them , said president Maithrpala Sirisena while also strongly emphasizing not to take this warning lightly.’
The president issued this stern unequivocal warning when the SLFP central committee met yesterday (20) morning chaired by the president.
The pro Rajapakse minions who attended this meeting were Dallas Alahaperuma , Kumar Welgama and Pavithradevi Wanniarachi –just three of them.When Welgama was trying to say , if president was not hampered and hindered they could have won the elections , Dr. Sarath Amunugama interjecting said, because the election campaign was conducted alongside the corrupt and together with them without abiding by the party president’s advice and instructions that the UPFA faced defeat .
Amunugama went on to point out , because elections were sought together with the corrupt lot , with Mahinda Rajapkse in the vanguard while fanning racism that one million people did not cast their votes. Amunugama proved this with facts and figures. Because of the promotion of racist policies and propaganda the votes of the minorities including Tamils and Muslims were lost . Otherwise the UPFA would not have been defeated , he noted.
A majority of the central committee members welcomed Amunugama’s revelations and obstructed the three slavish minions of Rajapakse when they were trying to voice their opinions.President Mathripala at this stage issued a strong warning to the minions and morons of Rajapakse that stern action and deterrent disciplinary measures shall be taken against those who go out and criticise the decisions taken by the party , and emphasized not to treat this grave warning lightly .
Susil Premachandra who had come to his human senses after dancing the devil with the devil incarnate Rajapakse, vowed to abandon his insensible and insane propensities . H e said , he is resigning his secretary post to make room for president Maithripala to appoint somebody according to latter’s wishes, while also imploring the president to make that move in a manner that would not impair Susil’s self respect .
It was Nimal Siripala De Silva who brought the proposal at the central committee meeting to form a national government by joining with the UNF. This was unanimously approved. Unbelievably , even the three turncoats of the Rajapakse camp silently gave their assent to this.Susil too fell in line like a meek and mild lamb.All the pro Rajapakse opportunistic minions clearly demonstrated they are like the weathervane changing direction with the prevailing wind.
At this meeting a six member committee was appointed to prepare a draft of the proposed memorandum of understanding to be signed with the UNF . The committee includes SLFP senior advisor Chandrika Kumaratunge Bandaranaike a former president , Dr. Sarath Amunugama, S.B. Dissanayake, Nimal Siripala De Silva and Susil Premajayantha.
Susil himself in an effort to redeem his lost prestige and to cover up the egregious blunders he committed agreed to forward the new national list of names which Maithripala approves , to the elections commissioner as a solution to the existing issues plaguing it.
Mahinda Rajapakse of course did not participate in this meeting.But it is learnt he has now abandoned all his vengeful actions against Maithripala . Meanwhile Gotabaya and Basil have advised deposed , disappointed and dejected Mahinda to retire from politics , based on unofficial reports .
The pro Mahinda SLFP M.P.s have also met Maithripala , and told him they have now metamorphosed into ‘pro Maithripala’ , and promised they would not in the future torment or create trouble to him.
