(Lanka-e-News -25.Aug.2015, 6.30PM) Gotabaya Rajapakse a former secretary of a State ministry who held a most responsible position , described the grave crimes of corruption committed during his tenure of office as ‘simple’. He made this comment himself most simply , blithely and uncaringly before the media when he arrived to give evidence before the special presidential commission yesterday morning, which is inquiring into the charges against him of heinous crimes of frauds and corruption ; and abuse of state resources, privileges , power and authority , committed by him.
The four main charges against him that were investigated yesterday …..
1.His releasing 500 employees of Rakna Lanka security establishment for election activities.
2.Spending (wasting) Rs. 6 million of people’s funds in that connection
3.150 soldiers of the civil security department being used for presidential election activities after changing their official uniforms.
4.Leasing of arms and weapons of the government illegally to private sector.
After having committed such grave crimes , it is only a world’s most unconscionable No.1 criminal who will have the heart and tongue to utter the word ‘simple’ to describe such crimes.
It is incredible but true , Gotabaya who described the crimes as ‘simple’ was questioned from 10.00 in the morning until 4.00 in the evening over his ‘simple’ criminalities .Hereunder is a videotape released by Daily Mirror. In the video , a police officer detailed to provide security duty to the Commission can be seen saluting Gotabaya who is now an ordinary citizen and an accused before the commission. This sycophantic behavior of the police officer is an offence committed in violation of the police disciplinary code.
The police ordinance states clearly when and whom a police officer should salute . The public are waiting to see what action will be taken in ths regard, for if every police officer begins to salute every accused brought before the commission , the presidential commission will soon become a police saluting criminal commission.

Watching the video did anyone notice that Godimbara Rajapakse carried hos mobile phone into the interrogation room when there was a clear sign that mobile phones were disallowed?Maybe Godimbara acted like a knagaroo with the 100% kangaroo commmission members because kangaroos don't use phones

WE WONDER WHY MS ORDERED THE IGP NOT TO ARREST GOTHA!.....SECONDLY MOST OF THE POLICE OFFICERS ARE APPOINTED BY MR& THE UPFA!....so what can we EXPECT!....MS is cunningly trying to continue this practice!(for his&the; slfp's gain).
