(Lanka-e-News -11.Sep.2015, 9.30PM) All the suspects involved in the abduction and murder of Lanka e news journalist Prageeth Ekneliyagoda who are in custody are to be detained for a further one month under the Terrorism prevention Act and interrogated , based on permission granted by the defense secretary yesterday.
The earlier detention order lasting 14 days ended today , and the CID made a request to extend it in respect of all the army officers arrested earlier and the three officers arrested recently.
So far , 10 suspects including two Lieutenant Colonels , a second lieutenant , a sergeant major, sergeant of the staff, and corporals of the army have been arrested by the CID.
