(Lanka-e-News -23.Sep.2015, 8.15AM) By a strange quirk of circumstances ,even as the incumbent president Maithripala Sirisena is leaving for America today (23) to attend the UN organization’s 70 th session , the former president Mahinda Rajapakse who is now just a Hambantota district M.P. has been summoned to the special presidential commission to inquire into charges of monumental corruption against him.
The Ex president has been called before the commission in connection with charges leveled against him of causing a loss of over Rs. 200 million ! to the State ITN television channel .That is , the ex president who has by now become notorious with the surfacing of many fraudulent involvements of his , had not paid the ITN his last presidential election advertisement and propaganda bills .
