(Lanka-e-News- 23.Feb.2016, 8.00PM) The world famous National Geography media Institute has selected the photograph of president Maithripala Sirisena as its NatGeo Instragram website photograph . This photograph was taken when the president recently attended a Scouts jamboree and appeared for a selfie with a girl guide by the name of Sanjina who had came from Bangla Desh.
45 million people worldwide are linked to this Nat Geo Instragram website , and this photograph by now has been disseminated among over 10,000 people. No matter what, within two hours of the publication of this photograph of the president , over 67000 have expressed their assent. Only 375 have criticized it.

The president recently made a successful tour of two European countries , Germany and Austria. It is worthy of note that a Sri Lankan head of state visited Germany after 42 long years, and hitherto no SL leader was invited. Maithripala was the first to be invited. He had meetings with investors in both countries . In Germany about 200 investors attended the meeting while in Austria about 100 investors met with him. Unlike in the past the investors evinced great enthusiasm to invest in SL.
