While the country was facing a most disastrous situation with heavy showers and massive gales lashing across the country yesterday (15) from dawn till late in the night , the emergency telephone No. 117 of the disaster management headquarters which is most vital and crucial to the public during such situations was not functioning !
During the period of the last government , a disaster management call center was established at a cost of US $ 40 million approximately, ( it is noteworthy this debt running into many millions of US dollars has to be paid back by us) , and this phone No. 117 was the emergency number made available to the people to contact the center .
Sadly , because this emergency No. 117 was out of service at the most crucial period to the detriment of the public , the defense ministry in order to communicate with the public released a number of phone numbers this evening for the benefit of the public ..

Army operations room 2434251
Navy operations room 2445368
Air Force operations room 2343970
Of what purpose is a sword that cannot be used in a war ? Is it being reserved to cut Jack fruits ?
Of what purpose is an emergency phone No. that is inactive during an emergency and an impending disaster in the country ? Is it being reserved for the use of the ministry to summon a midwife when the minister’s wife is going to deliver a baby?
