(Lanka-e-News -28.July.2016, 11.30PM) The barbaric nature and bestial traits of Dallas Alahaperuma who functioned as the theoretician for the Medamulana Rajapakses during their nefarious decade have still not changed going by his conduct at a media briefing on the 26 th.
When Dallas was criticizing the present government and alleged that the latter by impeding their march to be staged , is now not following the lichchavi traditions and taking barbaric actions , a journalist questioned Dallas whether his own government did not obstruct the protests staged by the opposition at that time , Dallas’ baser barbaric and brutal traits surfaced with Dallas furiously ‘barking’ at the journalist ,and performing a disgraceful devil dance at the briefing.
Journalist :
Are you telling during the period of your government , it did not obstruct the protests of the opposition , and permitted the play grounds to be used .
Dallas :
Let us assume such things did happen. But does this government have a right to do the same thing? I confirm again and again that did not happen. Even after this government was elected and one year seven months have elapsed , the journalists let alone citizens of the country have a right to question .I am feeling sorry for you over your question .When you are asking whether the previous government did not engage in such acts , you are representing the government group. You must instead be neutral.
Journalist’s question :
Is there anything wrong in asking , isn’t what is happening today the same as what happened then ?
Dallas :
Don’t support them , Don’t appear on behalf of the government . If the government that spoke of Lichchavi traditions and policies is now conducting itself barbarically and brutally , it should be criticized. Hence, don’t point an accusing finger at us .
Journalist :
Even your government before being installed in power made various promises , yet your government did everything that ran counter to your promises . Therefore , how can questioning on those falsehoods be wrong ?
Dallas:
We have all along expressed our mistakes. The people had given us the right verdict for those mistakes.
It is a pity that scoundrels like Dallas Alahaperuma who allege it is political revenge when questioned about their white Van abductions , abduction and murders , disappearances, murders of parliamentarians, cold blooded ghastly murder of editors on the main road , daylight robbery of public assets committed during the nefarious decade of Dallas’ corrupt brutal government, and who organize much hyped protest march did not allow anybody to question him about the crimes , corruption and brutalities perpetrated by his ousted despotic lawless government.
What Dallas says is nobody has a right even to question them . While Dallas is speaking so arrogantly and uncaringly when out of power now, it is the government of his that in the past murdered , broke the limbs of journalists and set fire to media Institutions when it was questioned over the criminalities.
When these corrupt scoundrels are questioned , what they say is , the media should be neutral and non partisan. Today ,the journalists who fell victims to the brutal , murderous and violent actions of these scoundrels are not even permitted to question them, because the journalists who question them are accused of being partial towards the present government .
When Dallas was a journalist for a while working at a place in the Borella supermarket , his mentor Sunil Madhawa Premathileke wrote an article in his newspaper . Let us refresh the memory of Dallas on what he wrote …
To reveal the truth there is no neutral stance. That is between the truth and untruths there is no median. Either you have to be on the side of the truth or untruth.
That was how Dallas’ mentor wrote in their own newspaper.( Of course Sunil Madhawa was also one of those who stooped to do the sordid biddings of Rajapakses in the past . But that is another story) . Hence It would do immense good to Dallas if he searches for that piece of paper and reads it today .
If Dallas and his satanic government have not committed arson on the Lanka e news portal , at least we could have helped him with that news report from our library which was reduced to ashes by the conflagration.
The crimes , corruption and brutalities Dallas Alahaperuma treats as ‘ mistakes’ are indeed most weird …
Abduction and murder of Prageeth Eknelyagoda; murder of Lasantha Wickremetunge in broad daylight; abducting Sivaram and committing murder; Breaking Poddala’s limbs after abduction ; MPs murdered on the main roads; killing of their own advisors ; abducting five students who were successful at the GCE adv. Level who secured eligibility to enter University and killing them after demanding extortion ; setting fire to media Institutions; exploding claymore mines ;imposing unlawful bans; killing of tourists by the chairman of government bodies , and raping young women ; after raping as many as hundred young girls , holding parties to celebrate that with the participation of VIPs of his government.
To Dallas those grave and heinous crimes, and criminalities are ‘ mistakes,’ and even questioning them is wrong.
If only the administration you and your group are demanding along with the change of the national flag has truly come into existence, barbaric and shameless scoundrels like you and your clan of rascals running amok contaminating the whole country and defecating on the national flag would have been the order of the day.
In the circumstances , what journalists should do for such bluffer duffer politicos who get infuriated and refuse to answer is , unrelentingly go after them and question unendingly . The whole nation is intently watching to learn what action the media is going to take against the latest dastardly and disgraceful tactics adopted by Dallas .
