Minister of Prisons in Sri Lanka is an accused of mass murder..!

(Lanka-e-News 05.Dec.2020, 4.45PM) The current government is being severely criticized and despised by the world community for its state terrorism for torturing and brutally murdering a group of prisoners in Mahara Prison in Sri Lanka who were protesting demanding PCR tests against the corona epidemic.

Since the election of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's government which has been imported from the United States under the auspices of the Rajapaksa Pvt Limited, sponsored by a 6.9 million people, with the blessings of the Kelani king cobra, the general public in a pro-democracy country, free-thinking groups, including politicians with opposing political views, as well as prisoners held under state protection under international conventions, have to endure a dreadful tenure.

Hundreds of critics have been summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) located at the police headquarters during this period. Inmates were killed one by one inside and outside the prison.

Implausible figures

A serious incident was reported from the Mahara Government Prison recently. According to government figures, 11 prisoners have been killed, 105 injured and two prison officers were injured. Unofficial reports say 16 prisoner’s bodies were found and about 30 are missing. Eyewitnesses say there were burnt bodies in the burning rubble inside the prison. It is doubtful whether the 30 missing persons escaped or were burnt to death. The truth cannot be known without a proper investigation. The government says records of prisoners have been destroyed by the fire and therefore it is not possible to say who died or who went missing. However, the immediate reason for the large number of inmates being shot was the demand for PCR tests to save their lives as the deadly corona epidemic spread inside the prison.

At the time of the killing of prisoners, Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle was the Minister of State in charge of prisons recostruction and prisoners rehabilitation. President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa removed her from the post of Minister of State with immediate effect.

Lohan’s pedigree

When the bodies of unarmed prisoners who were murdered found one by one the next day, the President appointed a minister with a history of murder and serious experience in continuing the practice of killing in prison to fill the vacancy. He is Lohan Ratwatte, the son of the ifamous Anuruddha Ratwatte, a former Deputy Minister of Defense.

Lohan Ratwatte’s pedigree includes a serious mass murder.  It is about his involvement in the assassination of ten unarmed Muslims using T-56 weapons in the Udathalawinna area in Kandy, showing the power of weapons and violence for his father's election campaign during the 2001 general election.

He was convicted by the High Court and imprisoned. The appellant was later acquitted citing sufficient evidence contradiction.

In addition, Anuruddha Ratwatte, who led the war in the North with a political theoretical vision to become the crown Prince, Lohan Ratwatte, had a violent history of barging into nightclubs in Colombo star class hotels and imposing death threats to artists and singers. There is also a story that he shot and killed Papua New Guinean rugby coach Joel Ferreira in Colombo.

Lohan Ratwatte, Minister of State for prison reforms and Rehailitation of prisoners Joined the Committee Stage Debate on the Ministry of Defense on the Budget Amendment of the 20th Amendment by the Rajapaksas said Wimal Weerawansa's international conspiracies and reverse pills are just another childish stories that not sufficient for a minister in charge of the nation.

Not bullets but baton attacks; Not the sound of gunfire but the sound of firecrackers..

Lohan Ratwatte said He said the killing of prisoners at Mahara Prison was not due to shootings but due to prisoners being beaten with clubs.

Lohan Ratwatte made this statement while the bodies of the prisoners who have not yet undergone the post mortem are being kept at the Ragama Hospital morgue.

Prior to an investigation by a forensic pathologist the minister jumped the gun to cover up this massacre as prior pre Rajapaksa murders.

It is not a surprise the present government, commits heinous crimes and acts lightly, will say the following in the future. On the night of the massacre of prisoners at Mahara Prison, it was not the sound of T-56 weapons heart but the sound of firecrackers that erupted. Instead of the prisoners' cries, the cheers of the Reverse pop group heard.

Meanwhile, a group of parliamentarians representing the United Opposition visited the Mahara Prison and the relatives of those dead and injured said the observation was a showy and lazy attempt made by the opposition to deceive itself.

They further said such scenes, which portrayed the role of a weak opposition, will not inflict a slightest effect on the repressive current dictator government.
