SLFP slavish minions propose changes favoring executive presidency powers which create despots

(Lanka-e-News- 28.April.2015, 5.00PM) After seeking elections as a presidential candidate on the promise that the executive presidency will be abolished , and later on after election , while saying  the executive presidency shall only be curtailed , when this 19 th amendment which needed no further cures  was tabled in parliament surmounting tremendous  obstacles and odds , the slaves and scoundrels of Rajapakses have once again conspired to impede it . Lanka e news is therefore constrained to break a most disappointing  news to the people who are craving for a government of good governance.

These SLFP clowns and slaves who know nothing better than clownish and moronic conduct have created a most deplorable comic scenario last evening  (27) when the 19 th amendment was presented .They brought forward changes to the 19 th amendment , that is , the president must be allowed to appoint ministers without  consulting the prime minister (P.M.) ; and instead of the   constitutional councils being manned by  independent persons , MPs should be appointed to those positions .  These ‘clowns and slaves’ of the SLFP required these changes  to be incorporated  in  the proposed 19 th amendment .

In fact in an earlier report , we revealed well ahead such a maneuver is in the offing under the caption ,’ Buffalo herd of pro Mura demand  new amendments to 19th without knowing even what those are.

When these   changes  were proposed  aiming at changing the provisions of the constitution which even the supreme court (SC)  itself has approved , a party leaders meeting was convened at 12.30 p.m. to take a decision . Dr. G L. Peiris who is not a party leader attending  the meeting while displaying his clownish and slavish traits suggested another  ridiculous amendment to compound the confusion further.

This was  concerning  who shall be deputizing for  the president in the latter’s absence. Earlier ,the position was , ‘in the absence of the president , either the speaker or the most senior M.P shall be deputizing for him.’ The SLFP slaves cum clowns bringing  another  amendment to it, held , ‘ the prime minister shall be acting for the president’ to which the government agreed . Subsequently , the ‘nutty professor ‘ Dr. G.L.Peiris whose mind is cluttered with  potty ideas , said , ‘no,’  and proposed the amendment , ‘the speaker  should act for the president.’

The P.M. Ranil Wickremesinghe who is usually calm and composed was provoked by this nutty professor’s potty proposal.  ‘Don’t make this serious issue a joke . Yesterday you brought an amendment , and when we  agreed with it , you are now changing the stance and reverting to  the same old proposal’ , the P.M. retorted. The nutty professor having no answer was dumbfounded.

From all this  behavior of these slaves cum clowns what is deducible is they do not want to do anything in the larger interest of the nation for the benefit of all, instead just as they slowly but surely plunged the country in the past under their MuRa regime into doom and gloom , are again trying to overturn and overthrow whatever benefit  the government of good governance is trying to confer on the people .

The next proposal advanced by these reactionary discards  (slaves cum clowns) was to change even the clause in the 19 th amendment which stipulates that the president shall consult  with the P.M. when he appoints ministers despite the fact that the SC has given its approval for this clause. In other words, the proposal of these reactionary rejects  was , the president  can make these appointments at his whim and fancy without consultation. The P.M. reacting to this abhorrent proposal said , if this is their proposal , why bring the 19 th amendment at all? for it will be all the same if the constitution is continued as it is.

It is an indisputable fact that under the present executive presidency  because of  limitless despotic powers vested in the president , the parliament that is supreme is being deliberately and atrociously marginalized , by -passed and sidelined. It is also   using those evil powers , the cabinet was bloated with unlimited number of parliamentarians, uncaring about the public expenditure involved in such  appointments  to the detriment of the nation, and ministers were appointed even for subjects like sugar  and candy.

The SLFP reactionary slaves despite knowing all this fully , proposed these  anti national changes. The other amendment demanded by them was : the six representatives of the constitutional council comprising  five independent professionals of the intelligentsia made up of   representatives of the minority parties , two of whom are  appointed by the P.M. and the opposition leader , must be MPs.

When these reactionary slaves were asked , how can such a council so constituted to suit their stupid whims , be called  independent , the irresponsible answer given by these slaves was : that is what Vasu  and Dinesh of the left parties desire. It is noteworthy  , every  civil organization without exception  that went in  procession with the   massive crowds today  protested against the appointment of MPs to the constitutional council.

When  this issue was being debated without an end , it was decided to appoint a sub committee with the participation of both sides .Accordingly , Hakeem , Sumenthiran , and Ajith P. Perera were named from the government side , and from the side of the ‘slaves  and clowns ’ ,Anura Yapa , the SLFP secretary , Faizer Mustafa and Rajiva Wijesinghe were named  as representatives for  the sub committee. Meanwhile these slaves  and scoundrels who have made protesting, shouting and screaming their favorite occupation  ,  continued to interrupt by repeatedly yelling out  that it is the ‘distorted ‘ version of the amendment that shall be presented.

We at Lanka e news who have always espoused the cause of the common man and justice will be failing in our duty in the service of the nation if we do not expose these slaves and scoundrels who are now stymieing and stifling   the 19 th amendment that is seeking to curtail the brutal  powers of  executive presidency  as well as fortify the independent commissions . It is well to recall these are the very scoundrels and traitors who even when treated like stray dogs by their vanquished boss  went thrusting  their tails between their  legs behind Mahinda Rajapakse even to his Medamulana Walauwa to  lick him  in spite of the fact that it is their same boss who  dismantled the independent commissions which were a boon to the people ,and centralized all the evil executive presidency powers in his hands casting aside  the 18 th amendment .

In the circumstances , the patriotic people will certainly understand why two ministers who resigned their posts after they  were  appointed by this government ,  are being named as   representatives of  the sub committee  by the SLFP slaves and scoundrels .

When president Maithripala Sirisena , who is also the SLFP party president tabled the 19 th amendment in parliament this morning , the SLFP vice president and opposition leader Nimal Siripala De Siva  said, ’today , according to the likes and dislikes of the people a crucial change will take place. We  opposed the 1 9th amendment once , and again when  expressing our stance  , we said ,that was done to ensure the amendment is presented with clarity , and not just to oppose it.’

‘Through the 19 th amendment some are trying to become heroes. One or two cannot become heroes. All of us are heroes. We shall support this amendment .’

Yet  , let it be  well understood by him   , this group of his  is seeking  to obstruct  the ‘ abolition of the executive presidency ‘ for which abolition 6.2 million people voted . Hence , if the secretary of the SLFP himself by joining with that reactionary group is unable to perceive  this truth , or cannot be made to realize it , then the president of the country who is also the president of the SLFP , too is   playing false  ;his backsliding conduct and backhanded  politics contributing.  Or , is it that he has no control over the SLFP party ? If the president himself is saying the SLFP central committee too did not approve the 19 th amendment, then by relating  a lie can the president secure the consent of the Rajapakse  slavish scoundrels , and pass the 19 th amendment ?

In the circumstances , instead of seeking to pass the 19 th amendment with all these anti national traitorous changes vitiating  it  , it will be  best  if the parliament is dissolved , as soon as possible form a new parliament , and formulate rules and regulations consistent with and in fulfillment of the  true aspirations of the people who cast their votes for the Swan symbol on the 8 th of January.

At  the  select committee meetings , the counter proposals  brought forward don’t need a two third majority for their passage. A simple majority is enough. The president and P.M. ought to take a prompt decision .

On the other  hand , the people who emerged victorious on the 8 th are not ready - no, not for all the world ! , to fall into the traps and treacheries of these defeated ,despicable deceitful rascals once again, if the aims and objectives of these discarded slaves and scoundrels are to take the people down the garden path after promising the sun and the moon .

Prior to 8 th of January 2015 , when the votes of the people were being solicited for the Swan symbol, what was proclaimed and categorically promised was : within the 100 days , the executive presidency will be abolished , as opposed to curtailing the executive presidency powers. Neither was it promised that  the newly elected  president is going to retain the  executive presidency powers for a further five years , and only thereafter , when the new president is elected  the executive powers will be curbed or abolished .

Needless to remind , the period  that has elapsed between now and the  time the promises were made is not long enough to make those who made such promises assume that the people are so naïve , and therefore will  forget the pledges made at the last elections so soon. It is therefore in the best interests of    the president ,the  prime minister and all else if they bear in mind clearly  , though the Sri Lankans are noted for their docility , gullibility and their sympathy , this 100 days period is not long enough for them to forget the false pledges and promises , if any made to them , even though those who made the promises may be striving hard to forget  conveniently.
