Kili Maharajah tries to poke his garrulous slaves in to the parliament - Let the people teach a lesson they taught to the film stars

(Lanka-e-News- 04.May.2015, 2.30PM) News reaching Lanka e News learns Chairman and the Managing Director of the Sirasa media R. Raja Mahendran has started to exert pressure to the political party leaders of the UPFA alliance to give nominations to the people he propose to the coming parliamentary election.

The plan of Rajamahendran is to synthetically promote his media slaves working in the Sirasa and artificially influence the public opinion of the people in an exorbitant manner and to push his slave workers to the parliament and to fulfill his deceitful objectives. Political analysts who forecast future say by doing this the latter is trying to impute a power to submit the government according to his whims thereby exploiting the people.

Political analysts further assert the Sirasa chief and Managing Director R. Rajamahendran is trying to misuse his media culture by following the NDTV India which directed few of its workers to the Indian Lok Sabah parliament.

By directing his slaves such as Sri Ranga and Buddhika Pathirana to the parliament R. Rajamahendran have able to successfully produce results for his trial tests. Despite he managed to enter his candidates to the last provincial council election through his exorbitant media campaign confidential sources say now he is planning to get nominations to his remaining slaves aiming the coming election.

However when Mahrajah’s Sirasa able to nominate Susara Dinal from the Gampaha district in the UPFA, S.M. Marikkar from UNP and Susil Kindelpitiya from the Democratic Alliance for the Western Provincial Council and get membership in the provincial governments, the Sirasa chairman is once again wandering in his own dream world.

According to reports reaching us Sirasa chairman R. Rajamahendran is directly and indirectly pushing president Maithripala from various sources to give nominations to his representatives.

Taking a step forward during the annual convention of the Maharajah Organization few days back Chandana Suriyabandara has been selected as the best executive officer and this Maharaja has requested president Maithripala who went as the chief guest for the convention to give nominations to the latter.

Internal sources from Kili Maharajah reports the top management has already given instructions to the Sirasa media to direct their TV programs in a way giving a wide publicity to Chandana Suriyabandara, Suranga Senanayake, Roshan Priya Watawala, Yasarath Kamalsiri, Priyantha Wijesinghe, Shevan Daniel, Siripala Wanniarachchi, Susil Kindelpitiya, S.M. Marikkar, Susara Dinal De Silva, Sri Ranga, Nidra Weerasinghe, Thanuja Jawardena, Ayona Wickremesinghe and Omaya Kowilagodage.

Meantime reports reaching us reveal these Maharajah slaves will mostly contest the coming election from the mainstream political parties.

However people of this country have to teach the same lesson to these media slaves led by Maharajah the way they taught lessons to the film stars during the last western PC elections because these stooges do not know the what statesmen politics is. They have not committed any service to the people. The only qualification what they know is to blabber as a parrot and to refresh their lives from the finances of Maharajah and to have a garrulous pitch in front of the people. These maniacs are not media journalists but opportunists. They never come forward for the problems of the journalists face. They never got any death threats from the previous regime because they were dining together with the Rajapaksa murderous in the same dish dropping reporting the burning issue of the people. The Sirasa wesak zone too was opened by the former defense secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa who abducted people and killed using the infamous white van. The anticipated candidates too would come to the parliament as Sri Ranga and Buddhika Pathirana by people’s votes and kick the policies of their own party and dance to the tune of Kili Maharajah.

People of this country do not need a parliament of garrulous slaves who consolidate Maharaja Companies.

I fully agree with LEN. In fact I have brought this modus operandi of Maharajas to several politicians whom I know. Best example is Sri Ranga who had his marriage ceremony in Temple Trees with Mahinda, contested under UNP and crossed over to Mahinda side. Now he is like a saint questioning UNP participants at their "Satana programme pausing questions just to embarrass Ranil W. Others like Suranga, Watawala too are same in their behavior pattern, I have observed this and told several of my friends. This must be blocked and every voter must be educated because a media organization should not be allowed to dictate terms to a government or any party and for that matter to voters. Of course they must be neutral and bring correct and balanced news to the peoples. Now it is not happening in Sirasa/MTV group as they try to push a few of their cronies to the parliament. Thanks LEN for this report. Gemson

The LankaENews Article of 4 May 2015 ‘Kili Maharajah tries to poke his garrulous slaves in to the parliament - Let the people teach a lesson they taught to the film stars’, on the infiltration of Capital Maharaja Group personnel into Sri Lanka’s poltical system is very timely and very thought provoking. All Sri Lankan’s who have Sri Lanka’s political well-being and Independence at heart need to think deeply about this matter. The Capital Maharaja Group funding and running critical TV stations is fine. Sirasa, MTV, Shakthi contribute positively to Sri Lanka’s media scene. But such personnel – using the “free” publicity that they have received due to their appearance on TV – should not infiltrate into Sri Lanka’s political system. The Maharaja TV system - Sirasa, MTV, Shakthi – have promoted a number of its Executives and Talk Show hosts into Political Office in Sri Lanka. They are in many political parties – UNP, SLFP, Purawesi Peramuna, and Democratic Party. (Example-1): J. Sri Ranga. This person was the ‘Moderator’ of the MINNAL programme on Shakthi TV about 5-6 years ago. Within ONE YEAR he was made into a household name amongst the Upcountry Tamil people. For the last 5 years he is in Sri Lanka’s parliament. Who is Ranga? What are his qualifications to hold high elected Office? To whom is he loyal to? He wears TWO hats – one, as a ‘TV Media Presenter’ on Shakthi TV and Sirasa TV. Two, as a Parliamentarian of the ‘Purawesi Peramuna’. On Sirasa’s SATANA program he participates as a part of the Media ‘panel’. (Example-2): Buddhika Pathirana. A complete creation of Sirasa TV. Pathirana is one of the first Maharaja ‘stooges’ to infiltrate into Sri Lanka’s political system. About 7-8 years ago. But as recently as 2014 he was ‘hosting’ some FINAL CUT programs on Sirasa TV. (Example-3): Susara Dinal De Silva. A Provincial Councilor of the SLFP. A leading Exucutive of the Mharaja Organisation. (Example-4): Susila Kindelpitiya. A Provincial Counsellor of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka’s DP (Democratic Party). (Example-5): S.M. Marikkar. Provincial Councellor of the UNP. An Executive of the Maharaja Group. There is reliable information that ALL of those mentioned above get financial compensation from the Maharaja Group in some form or another – i.e. consultancy fees, vehicles, monthly payments, etc, while still holding Elected Office. There are serious issues of Media Ethics and Conflicts of Interests in the above situation. The above situation is akin to Executives from Rupert Murdoch’s TV and Newspaper systems in Britain, USA and Australia becoming members of the Parliaments or Congresses in their respective countries. Like a Murdoch TV executive/talk show host becoming an MP in Britain’s Parliament. And, on occasion appearing as a ‘commentator’ or ‘panelist’ on that TV station’s programs. Or, Murdoch’s TV and newspaper Executives or TV personalities becoming members of the US Congress or the Senate. How did this situation happen in Sri Lanka? How was it allowed to happen? Is the above situation an accident? If so, then this accident should be “rectified” as soon as possible. All of the above should not be given Nomination by any Political Party and they should all be sent back to the Maharaja Group. All of the above will seek Nomination from the UNP, SLFP, DP, etc in the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections. They should ALL be Rejected, and sent back to the Maharaja Organisation. Chandana Suriyabandara of Sirasa seems to be the next Maharaja person to be “propelled” into Parliament. Such a move should be opposed. The LEN Article mentions many other SIRASA and Shakthi personalities as well. ALL of them should be prevented from ‘infiltrating’ into Sri Lanka’s parliament. Why are the two Maharaja brothers doing this? What is their plan? These Parliamentarians will be very useful as ‘cats paws’ for Opposing or Proposing various International Relations policies of future Sri Lanka governments. The Maharaja Prganisation is the largest Private Company in Sri Lanka. The Public has NO idea of the scale of the Maharaja Organisation’s Operations. It is well known that the two Maharaja brothers are very close to India and love all things Indian. Does the Indian Government have direct investments into the Mahraja organization? Do big Indian Private Capital such as the Tata’s and the Birla’s have investments in the Maharaja’s? NO Private Company as large as Capital Maharaja should be allowed to wield such influence over Sri Lanka’s parliament and/or Provincial Councils. The Capital Maharaja Group must keep completely out of the government system – Legislature, Executive and Judiciary – of Sri Lanka. LEN must be very deeply commended for doing investigative Reports of this type. LEN, please do more on this story. Readers, please give as much coverage as possible on other Websites and newspapers Comments pages to this problem. Mr. H. Fernando, 14 May 2015
