(Lanka-e-News -13.July.2015, 11.00PM) The nominations for Kuruegala district attracted the greatest attention of the people. Medamulana brutal corrupt Mahinda Rajapakse the deposed rejected ex president who is contesting the Kurunegala district under the UPFA sent his nominations today without himself personally calling at the elections secretariat , based on inscrutable reasons best known to him.
UPFA secretary and group leader Anura Yapa handed over his nominations , while the chief minister Dayasiri Jayasekera too handed over his nomination papers. The expectations of many were dashed to the ground when Maithripala Sirisena who screamed from roof tops that he would not grant nominations to crooks and the corrupt , ultimately became a deflated disgraceful balloon with his greatest betrayal on earth - he did nothing to live up to his promises , with the result nothing what people expected of him happened.
Although Field Marshal Gen. Sarath Fonseka was to be fielded as the UNP candidate for Kurunegala against Rajapakse, and discussions were held in that regard , since he had already handed over his nominations in Colombo on his own , and due to the insoluble issues that cropped up thereby , he had to contest Colombo under his party on his own.
The SLFP treasurer S.B. Nawinna handed over his nominations under the UNP for Kurunegala . He said , Mahinda Rajapakse at the last elections lost to the secretary of the party , and this time he is going to lose to the SLFP party treasurer.
Meanwhile Mahinda Rajapakse with a view to conduct his election campaign has taken on lease the building at Wilgoda road of Herath who had earlier on taken on rent the Inland revenue department premises . Rajapakse’s main election office will be conducted at Wilgoda road.
