(Lanka-e-News- 27.July.2015, 10.20PM) Douglas Devananda and Weerakumara Dissanayake who were ministers under the Mahinda Rajapakse government have not returned their State vehicles to the government. These vehicles were allocated to them at that time when they were ministers .
The election monitoring chain of the intellectual circle concerning human rights had lodged a complaint with the Elections commissioner that these government vehicles are being used illegally for their election campaigns.
The State vehicles that are being used unlawfully by Douglas Devananda for his election campaign are :
Two Mitsubishi Cabs 253- 7783 and 253 -7950
Toyota Jeep GF-9312
Toyota land cruiser Jeep KW -9982
The state vehicles that are bieng used unlawfully by Weerakumara Dissanayake for his election campaign are :
Two Toyota land cruiser jeeps KW -9971 and KT 8467
The use of these vehicles after 26 th June are unlawful and constitute serious violation of election laws. Hence the election monitoring chain of the intellectual circle concerning human rights had lodged complaints with the Elections commissioner to take legal action against these two ministers based on grave violations of election laws.

The Election Commissioner should take action. And also cost of removing posters should be recovered from the candidate. A certain charge for each poster removed. This is ridiculous - Allowing them to paste and keep removing. If the candidate is charged for every poster removed, this will stop immediately.
